Ladies appoint Barrow as Assistant

Sporting Khalsa Women are pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Barrow as First Team Assistant Manager.

Steve has recently moved to South Staffordshire from West Sussex, where he had successful spells as Assistant Manager/Coach with Crawley Down Gatwick FC (Step 5), Horsham YMCA FC (Step 5) and Billingshurst FC (Step 7).

Midway through last season Steve was also given the opportunity to coach Crawley Wasps Ladies FC, and would have been heavily involved this season if he had not relocated.

“I am very excited about working with Lewis, the existing coaches at the club and in particular the players who I am looking to have a mutually beneficial football relationship with,” Barrow said.

“I have areas I am keen to work on to make me a more rounded and effective coach and these girls will play a pivotal role which will in turn enable me to plan and deliver sessions that will be relevant to their needs, realistic to the game and move us all forward as a team and a club.”

Kelly Williams, founder of the female section at Sporting Khalsa FC said: “We are delighted by the appointment, Steve is a proven manager and coach and his appointment at Sporting Khalsa Women will give him the platform to take himself and the club to the next level.

“He made a really positive impression with both his enthusiasm and professionalism, and myself and Lewis in particular are very much looking forward to working with him.”
