The biggest game in Sporting Khalsa’s history is certainly attracting more attention than we’ve ever enjoyed before with BBC Midlands Today, Radio WM and a host of other media outlets featuring the club in advance of Saturday’s FA Cup third round qualifying game with Spalding United.
BBC Midlands Today are set to broadcast live from the Aspray Arena on Friday evening while BBC WM will be providing updates from the ground on Saturday.
Inevitably much of the attention has focused on the goalscoring exploits of leading FA Cup scorer Craig Bannister who has already notched nine in the competition so far, but it has also provided an opportunity for assistant manager Pete Wood, international centre half Tes Robinson, the club’s owners and Ian Rowe (the mastermind of the whole affair) to experience some of the spotlight.
With the match taking place on National Non-League Day, admission is free for under 12s if accompanied by a paying adult while admission is £6 for adults and £4 for concessions.
As usual, the 442 Sports Bar and restaurant will be open before and after the game with food available from the Indian menu.
