Brocton 1 Sporting Khalsa 4

Michael Nelson - congratulations on his first Khalsa goal
Michael Nelson – first goal in Khalsa colours

Michael Nelson bagged his first goal for Sporting Khalsa in a relatively routine 4-1 victory ahead of Saturday’s massive FA Cup game with FC United of Manchester.

Khalsa did the damage in a first half which saw them secure a 3-1 lead at the interval, two goals by Craig Bannister ending a desperate, painful barren goalless spell of three games to secure his 22nd and 23rd of the campaign before Mike Perks grabbed another.

But it was perhaps the second half goal by Nelson which was most notable and pleasing for Khalsa boss Ian Rowe, a Marvin Nisbett through ball latched onto and converted in some style by the fleet footed wideman.
