Callum Cooper – absolutely tormented the Swifts during his substitute appearance.

A devastating cameo appearance by Callum Cooper from the bench helped turn a disjointed and stuttering effort by Khalsa into a much more polished and presentable scoreline in the first round of the Walsall Senior Cup.

It took the best part of an hour for Khalsa – almost unrecognisable from the side that turned out against FC United of Manchester on Saturday – to break the deadlock as chance after chance after chance went begging due to rampant profligacy in front of goal.

It took a peach of a free kick by Ben Hadley to finally open Khalsa’s account and then, following the introduction of Cooper, goals by Craig Bannister, Dave Meese and Brad Lawley finally gave the scoreline a better representation of the game.
