Dave Meese – a couple of moments of magic unlocked the stubborn Westfields defensive ranks

A fine save by goalkeeper James Pemberton with Khalsa clinging to a slender lead in the face of a Westfields onslaught proved the deciding moment as Ian Rowe‘s troops returned to winning ways after a mid-season wobble.

Second half goals by Dave Meese and Marvin Nisbett – the latter securing his seventh appearance on the scoresheet in successive matches – won the match, but it was Pemberton’s save that was the turning point.
