Result: Sporting Khalsa 0 Westfields 4

Alex Melbourne – applied himself well and probably the pick of a rather poor bunch today

It was the baddest of bad days at the office for Sporting Khalsa as their nine match winning streak was punctured in brutal fashion by Westfields who celebrated going top of the table with a four-star performance.

Khalsa were second best in absolutely every possible department against a hard-working and dynamic Westfields side who produced four second half goals (a double for Craig Jones, a worldie by Keanu Cooper and a deserved goal for Jamie Molyneux) in an impressive victory.

Only for five minute spells at the end of the first half and then at the death with the match already a long, long way out of reach did Khalsa look anything like the side they have looked recently.

Khalsa have the chance to bounce back on Tuesday, facing Wren’s Nest in the JW Hunt Cup, before another huge game, a visit to Worcester City in league action.
