Result: Sporting Khalsa 10 Wrens Nest 1 (JW Hunt Cup)

Jay Holdcroft – grabbed a second half hat-trick

Hotshot Lee Chilton grabbed four goals and Jay Holdcroft a hat-trick as an unfamiliar Khalsa side put Wrens Nest to the sword to progress to the second round of the JW Hunt Cup.

Khalsa – having suffered a crushing defeat at the weekend and with a number of players being given their chance in the starting line-up – were in no mood to mess about. Alex Melbourne opened the scoring with a cross that somehow sneaked in before goals from Mensah Kinch and a two from Chilton made it 4-1 at half time, Joseph Finch pulling one back for the visitors.

In the second half it was all one way traffic, Holdcroft grabbing three including a penalty, Chilton bagging a couple more and Kinch finishing the scoring in the final minutes.
