Sporting Khalsa winger Sean Williams has won the Total Motion Midland Football League Player of the Year for the 2018-19 season.
After every league game, an opposition man of the match award is made. During the course of the season, Willo – who joined Khalsa back in December from fellow MFA outfit Quorn – received a total of 14 nominations.
This was the highest in the league, just edging out Khalsa skipper Tes Robinson on 13.
Since arriving at the Aspray Arena, Willo has made a huge impact, bagging five goals in 21 appearances and getting the opposition man of the match no less than six times.
Khalsa boss Ian Rowe said: “I knew exactly what I was getting when Willo signed as he’s one of the genuinely quality players at this level. But he’s exceeded even my expectations.
“It’s not just his performances, he’s a class act in every way. This recognition by the opposition is probably the least he deserves and caps another brilliant season for him. I’m really chuffed for him.”
