Khalsa banished the blues from their FA Vase defeat at Coleshill with a five-star display against Long Eaton.
On nine minutes Shawn Boothe opened the scoring, heading in at the far post from a Johnny Haynes free kick. Indeed, Haynes almost doubled the tally when his free kick bounced off the bar five minutes later.
At the other end Andy Todd came close to equalising for Long Eaton, hitting the bar from range after Tom Turner was stranded way outside of his area.
Just after the restart Simeon Townsend grabbed his first since returning to the club, heading home a Haynes long throw to make it 2-0.
Khalsa’s third duly arrived courtesy of Fabrice Kasiama, Luke Shearer‘s cross turned in on 58 minutes. Shearer himself joined the list of scorers on 70 minutes, cooly slotting home after being put clear and Aaron Perrin completed the scoring with five minutes to go, latching onto a Dave Meese knock down for his first Khalsa goal.
