Dave Meese

Experienced creative force in the middle of the park, signed for Sporting Khalsa at the start of the 2015-16 season having most recently turned out for Halesowen Town. Previously part of Ian Rowe’s sides at Gornal Athletic and Tipton Town, ‘Meesey’ has also starred for West Midlands Regional League sides Black Country Rangers and AFC Smethwick.

Since arriving with Khalsa, Meesey has proven an invaluable addition to the side, both in terms of creating opportunities and also scoring himself, finishing the 2015-16 campaign with over 20 goals, including a priceless last gasp penalty equaliser against Spalding in the FA Cup and the winning goal in the JW Hunt Cup final against Wolverhampton Sporting.

For the last two seasons, Meesey has been Khalsa’s top goalscorer. During the 2016-17 campaign, he notched over 20 goals from midfield, following that with 22 goals in the 2017-18 season. During the 2018-19 season he notched another seven goals.

In addition to his talents as a playmaking midfielder, Meesey has been the Wrens Nest and District chess champion for the last seven consecutive years.
