Both teams remained undefeated this season after this encounter on tuesday night, with Khalsa probably having the better chances in the game. Hurst the Womboune keeper man-of-the-match made two excellent saves in the first half from Dhillon and Sidhu.


The home side started to get into the game early in the second half but did not test Khalsa keeper Singh. Again Hurst made a point blank save from Indi Rai in the 60th minute, Khalsa put the pressure on and Rai shot wide when Hurst had dropped the ball in the box from Dhinsa’s cross. Dhillon should have secured the points for Khalsa in the last five minutes as he had a free header but, headed over the bar from five yards from Bansal cross.


Wombourne best chance came in the last minute but Singh’s save earned Khalsa a well deserved point.
