Wednesday Nights under the Lights

Wednesday it’s all about the youth at Sporting Khalsa, For 2hrs from 5:30 – 7:30 our youth academy descends onto the Khalsa pitch and takes over.

there are three styles of commitment level in operation at the club, all the three levels are designed to maximise participation in sport, helping your child lead a healthy and active life.

Community

The first commitment level is football for the community, this level of commitment is a turn up and play. It’s great for children to take their first steps into the game or for children who can’t commit to weekend football but still want to play football in a safe and supervised environment with children of a similar age.

Development

Our development group, are players that are part of a team and train on a Wednesday at the club and play football on a Sunday generally in the Walsall Junior Youth League, where games are held locally at centres across Walsall.

Advanced

Our advanced players are also train on a Wednesday at the club and play football on a Saturday either in the JPL or MJPL, both of the fermentation leagues are seen as a step between professional academy football and grassroots football. Players will play game against the best grassroots teams across the midlands.

Our aim is to provide fun, safe, sporting opportunities to the commitment level and ability of each child. To help every child achieve their maximum potential.

All youth players are coached by qualified coaches with current in date DBS, Child Safeguarding and First aid qualifications.

All coaches follow a club designed syllabus using an academy style program that put player development first, with each player receiving an independent development plan from their coach on a quarterly basis.

Each team will have access to a Performance of Analysis coach, Sports Psychologist, Strength and Conditioning coach, Physiotherapist and nutritionist at periods during the season.

Our focus is to provide the highest standard of coaching to youth players, so they can flourish and develop their game, with the aim of seeing as many of our youth players transition into first team senior football.
