Firstly thank you for all your support over a difficult 18 months, it has been extremely difficult for all areas of society and our local communities and many people, businesses and organisations will take a long time to bounce back. For those who live and breathe football, love engaging with their team mates, colleagues and enjoy being healthy and active it has been extremely challenging. The environment and culture at Sporting Khalsa FC is inclusive and somewhere we go to forget about everything and we have done our very best to keep everyone together and its been amazing getting everyone back together and continuing the work we do as a club.
With regards to the Women’s and Girls Section here is a brief update from us as to what has been happening;
We are delighted to announce that we will be forming more girls teams to our player pathway starting with an U8’s girls and hopefully an U10’s and U12’s team. We are in the process of finalising the U8’s and will release further news relating to the U10’s and U12’s in due course. We are advertising for volunteers to help with those teams and will provide adequate training and support for those wishing to join our team and support our players on training and match days.
We have also acquired a new U14’s team who will be playing under the Sporting Khalsa banner this season and will compete in the CWGFL. We will announce further details in the near future and get to know the team and new coaching staff. In the meantime they are seeking an experienced goalkeeper and they must be 12 years old before the 31st August 2021 to be eligible. The U14’s will enhance our player pathway and join our two U16’s and U18’s sides.
We are seeking managers/coaches for our U16’s (Staffordshire Girls League side) and U18’s who compete in the Central Warwickshire League. We are seeking committed individuals who are passionate about player development and able to form strong links with our senior section and management team.
Our U15’s (CWGFL squad) won the CWGFL Covid Cup in an excellent final versus Derby County U15’s and following their performances this season they have been invited to compete in a National Tournament and represent the County. Congratulations to Sam, Gemma and all the players who have played a part in our access this season.
Our Wildcats Centre and Programme continues to go from strength to strength and will continue through the school holidays and beyond every Monday 6-7pm. The sessions are for girls 4-12 years old and suitable for the beginner girl and more experienced player. Our award winning Wildcats Centre is a place you can learn new skills and make new friends. We are seeking a sports therapist/first aider for our Senior Squad to provide advice and treatment on training and match days and be part of our senior management team. We are also seeking a Goalkeeper coach to work with youth players on Thursday evenings and the senior development team on Sunday’s. As well as these posts we are also seeking a performance/analyst who will have the opportunity to work with our VEO camera and software, Commercial Sponsorship/Fundraising Manager and Social Media Officer. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in joining our team.
We still have opportunities for committed, talented players to join our Senior Squad competing in the FA Women’s National League and you can register your details here at https://Tinyurl.com/khalsawomentrial and someone will be in touch shortly.
