Craig Bannister – grabbed a hat-trick as Khalsa put Stafford Town to the sword.

Khalsa gave Midland Football League Division One side Stafford Town a hiding, plundering eight goals including a hat-trick from Craig Bannister.

Mike Perks gave Khalsa the lead on eight minutes, finishing in style past Town keeper Dale Reaney. It took almost half an hour before the second goal arrive courtesy of Brad Lawley.

Just before the break, Bannister grabbed his first goal, effectively breaking Town’s resistance and strongly suggesting the floodgates were about to burst open.

A goal from Matt Martin just after the break suggested this was the case, but there was another lull until the 68th minute when Bannister bagged his second. Substitute Noble Rumsey scored the sixth on 72 minutes on his debut.

Bannister completed his hat-trick on 76 minutes before Perks wrapped up the scoring on 82 minutes.
