A Craig Bannister goal earned Khalsa a point in a scrappy and uneventful match in Shrewsbury.
The home side took the lead on eight minutes, Steve Hole finishing a really good move which saw Matt Fletcher latch onto a long ball and produce a cross that was begging to be converted.
It took 20 more minutes for Khalsa to equaliser, Bannister finishing brilliantly from an acute angle to make it one apiece.
Fletcher was again the dangerman for Haughmond on 39 minutes, a swift break down the right saw another good cross, this time for Joe Perry, who skied his effort when he really should have put his side ahead.
The second half saw even fewer real opportunities. On 59 minutes, substitute Carl Rogers – who was a handful from the moment he stepped onto the pitch – poked an effort just wide of Sam Arnold’s goal.
And Dan Lomas lashed an effort over on 65 minutes, the last notable moment in a pretty unmemorable game of football.
