1 Sam Arnold

Joining a few weeks into the 2017-18 season, Sam soon established himself as the default first choice goalkeeper at Khalsa, impressing with a series of man-of-the-match performances. His second season was even more impressive, winning the supporter’s player of the year award at the end of the 2018-19 season which saw him help Khalsa to third place in the league and the JW Hunt Cup.

The former Wednesfield, Hinckley and Rushall custodian is as impressive with his feet as he is his hands, often proving a decisive first line of attack as much as a last line of defence.

Sam was voted ‘Metrosexual of the Year’ in both 2016 and 2017 by readers of the Walsall Advertiser before narrowly losing in 2018 to Walsall North MP Eddie Hughes, sparking a social media beef which continues to this day.
