Shamanic leader of Sporting Khalsa, ‘Rowey’ holds the distinction of being the only man ever to have led two separate clubs to the West Midlands Premier League title.
Formerly a robust and no-nonsense striker with local outfits including Gornal Athletic and Causeway United, Rowe entered management at Dudley Town in 2008.
After leading the club to their highest league positions in two decades, Rowe moved to neighbours Gornal Athletic in the summer of 2010.
In three seasons at the helm he led the Garden Walk outfit to the West Midlands title, quarter finals of the FA Vase and the top three of the Midland Football League. After a season at Tipton Town – where led the club to the top six of the MFL and the final of the league cup – Rowe moved to Sporting Khalsa in the close-season of the 2014-15 season.
Bringing some of his trusted soldier and adding some new recruits to the ranks, Rowe’s side swept all before them in winning the title with a record points tally and goal total.
Rowe’s dying wish is that his vocal chords be left to medical science when he passes away and Walsall NHS Trust designed a special donor card just for this purpose.
